An opportunity has popped up for a talented Front End UI/UX Developer to join an established Ecommerce business founded in 1965 in Glasgow with deep rooted family values. This is the chance to work in an established and sizeable marketing team with the opportunity for growth. The business operates internationally, selling trade related products to B2C and B2B markets.
After successful bringing their development in-house, they are now looking to expand the software development team.
Your background:
- Minimum 1 year’s commercial development experience
- Proficient with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Proficient in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Proficient with jQuery
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- UX/UI Design experience
The role:
- You will have a track record of developing well-structured and maintainable sites
- Responsible for all front-end development and some back-end work
- You will be working with Big Commerce
- Testing of new and existing websites to ensure that they meet our expectations
- Implementing enhancements and modifications to all sites
- Maintaining and developing internal tools
- Software Developer Certification
- WordPress Experience
- Photoshop Experience
- Wire-framing Experience
- 1+ year’s experience with an ecommerce platform
