Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be supporting a growing and well-established engineering services business, as they look to appoint a Service Engineer with a background in mechatronics, electrical or electronic systems.
This business specialises in industrial weighing systems and associated technologies, supporting a wide range of customers across multiple sectors. They offer a highly varied, field-based role where no two days are the same, combining hands-on engineering with customer interaction and system integration work.
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair and calibration of industrial weighing equipment, working both independently and as part of a wider technical team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment performance, supporting customers and maintaining high service standards across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
A genuinely varied, field-based role including:
- Installation and commissioning of industrial weighing systems
- Servicing, calibration and maintenance of equipment
- Fault finding across electrical, electronic and mechatronic systems
- Integration of weighing systems with automation and control systems
- Preventative maintenance and system upgrades
- Providing technical support to customers both on-site and remotely
- Preparing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- Travelling to customer sites, including occasional extended stays away from home
What They’re Looking For
- Diploma or trade qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience in installation, fault finding and repair
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home when required
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Experience with industrial weighing systems, load cells or calibration
- Exposure to automation, sensors or control systems
- Background in field service or industrial environments
- PLC knowledge or system integration experience
