Nine Twenty Engineering have an exclusive role in the Livingston area within my FMCG clients manufacturing site for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.They are continuing to see growth and are in the process of investing heavily in their plant.

 

This role will see you involved in the maintenance of high-speed packaging machinery and will offer the chance to get involved in project work over the coming 2 years.

 

Their production sites are the core to their business and their Engineers are responsible for keeping the sites running efficiently.

  • Work efficiently to ensure all electrical/mechanical engineering work is completed in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that agreed standards within the maintenance function are met.
  • Minimise the amount of downtime suffered by the site following machine breakdown.
  • Undertake PPM’s on machinery and equipment in accordance with the required PM schedules.
  • Continually monitor plant conditions and report defects as appropriate.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of production lines to identify and implement improvements.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager with respect to the supply of appropriate parts.
  • Provide support to project engineering and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded on the Company’s in-house computerised system in the appropriate manner.
  • Comply at all times with appropriate health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on the site as well as statutory legislation.

 

The Team

The Engineering team is small but close. There are currently 3 multi-skilled Engineers, reporting to a motivational new Engineering Manager. The engineering team cover two separate facilities on the one site.

 

You will be an experienced Engineer with a passion for improvement and development and will also:

  • Be a fully qualified Electrician with 16th/17th Edition qualification.
  • Be in possession of general mechanical engineering skills
  • Have experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Ideally have experience within the food industry.
  • Be focused on helping the company to maintain the highest possible standards in relation to health & safety in the workplace.
  • Have an excellent understanding of basic food hygiene and HACCP principles.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships, in particular with Production, Technical and Health & Safety personnel
