Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be working with our Nairn based client who are on the look out for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
You will be responsible for working on and maintaining their automated facility working within a small but productive team with operational plant breakdowns. Implementing maintenance practices and contributing to development and working to a continuous improvement culture and ethos.
We are looking for forward thinking, proactive and innovative individuals to join their team. You must be able to work on your own initiative but also participate in team work.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Company safety regulations
- Ensure that the company's emergency response procedure is understood and complied with at all times
- Ensure that emergency response roles are performed according to company requirements
- Ensure that the risk assessment process is understood and complied with
- Ensure that the permit to work system is complied with at all times
- Carry out welding repairs site as required
- Perform machinery work as required to make new or repair damaged components
- Perform first line maintenance and fault detection
- Ensure that the shift handovers are communicated effectively
- Ensure that standards, procedures and written instructions are understood and adhered at all times
- Ensure desk top applications are used effectively
- All other tasks as require
Skills and Experience:
- Innovative self starter
- Possess a recognised electrical qualification (preferably time served electrician)
- Compliant to 17th Edition IET BS7671
- Experience in maintenance systems would be beneficial
