Nine Twenty Engineering and Manufacturing as delighted to be assisting our client, a large international manufacturing employer in the region, on their search for an Electrical Engineer.

The Role:

A motivated and passionate Eplan Electrical Engineer with industrial electrical experience and interest in design and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain, electrical schematics, single line diagrams, control panel designs, machine wiring upgrade / modification and safety circuit design and testing to help achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency
  • All drawings are to be designed and maintained with the relevant System
  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings
  • Actively carry out audits to ensure existing electrical documentation are kept to a high standard at all times
  • To liaise with all Electrical Department members to ensure that all alterations and updates to existing electrical documentation are completed in a timely manner
  • Specify and select suitable equipment for design
  • Creation of Bill of Materials, to include detailed termination schedules and component listings
  • Adopt a proactive approach to value engineering throughout the design process
  • Engage in project meetings
  • Support Team in commissioning all new installations (which may involve short periods away from home)
  • Support the Electrical Supervisors and Control & Instrument Technical Engineers in commissioning of all modifications and upgrades to ensure all design specification are adhered to and recorded
  • Assist in the construction and upkeep of Technical Manuals
  • Collaborate with supplementary or specialist subcontract resources in support of design activities
  • To develop, maintain and manage the Electrical Drawing Department Action Tracker, informing the Electrical Department of relevant progress updates and completion of tasks
  • To be flexible and work additional hours as a result of special projects, meeting, business requirements, holiday and sickness cover
  • To ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents / accidents and hazards are duly reported
  • To maintain professional competence with continuing professional and technical development and attend training courses as necessary
