This role has arisen within a niche agency that deals exclusively in eCommerce, dealing with high profile clients all over the globe such as Virgin and Irn Bru. The business has 6 offices around the world, all the way from Los Angeles to Sydney.

As an E-commerce Manager, you will define, prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for eCommerce sites to be delivered on time and within budget.

 

The Role:

  • Work with creative and internal teams to design the best 'Webshop experience' for each brand.
  • Ensure the website's effective day-to-day running, working with external agencies where appropriate to ensure a seamless Webshop experience.
  • Managing the sales, inventory, forecasting, and all aspects of the online store, including online merchandising & product taxonomy.
  • Merchandising and optimizing list pages, strip banners, product pages.
  • Create and optimize product listings, stock updates on behalf of Clients.
  • Take ownership of web analytics and accurate reporting to the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Analyze online sales-related data to improve rankings, predict future sales and manage stock requirements.
  • Keep ahead of new developments and trends in the e-commerce field, continually looking for new opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot website and marketplace issues as and when they occur.
  • Optimizing the eCommerce website together with developers / external platform team (Shopify, - understanding how to customize it to regional (country) demands.
  • Lead E-commerce Operations team in Webshop scoping workshop and executing UX updates and project managing the development team.
  • Lead and execute the System testing, User Acceptance Testing, and A/B & MVT testing strategy via Google Optimize or similar tool.
  • For B2C Webshops - Tracking, analyzing, and improving traffic quantity and quality coming from the different channels, making use of all available marketing and CRM tools (Paid / Social Media, PR, EDM, etc.).
  • Creating & presenting performance & commercial reporting, analyzing numbers, and creating a strategy based on those insights.

Experience & Skills requirement

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (B2C / B2B E-commerce).
  • Experience with Shopify and/or other major eCommerce platforms such as - Magento 2
  • Experience with CRM/ platforms.
  • Knowledgeable of marketing and sales mechanisms (best practice) of major eCommerce companies.
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing and familiar with the programs and tools most commonly used in this environment (Google Analytics, Google Optimise, Adwords, Facebook Ads Manager, Search Console etc.)
  • Proven ability to gather customer insights while also being able to articulate those in executive-level format.
  • Experience in hiring, managing and training.
