Laboratory Analyst

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing have a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Analyst to join our Global Client who are a Prestigious Leader in the Drinks Industry.
As a Laboratory Analyst, you will come from a Chemistry or Brewing & Distilling background and with you will bring an excellent analytical mindset with strong experience in method development & routine analysis.
This will be a very varied role and you will have the opportunity to be out on the plant collating samples, analysing raw materials and checking incoming malt whilst also being hands on in the Laboratory conducting analysis on alcohols & sugars.
You will be supporting the Quality Team Leader and must be able to work on your own initiative, be a self starter and have the autonomy to work within a very busy & fast paced role.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of raw materials, in process samples and finished products
- Ensuring that internal quality checks are carried out particular focus on risk
- Reviewing data trends
- Ensuring internal/external proficiency analysis and due diligence sampling is carried out
- Carry out maintenance of laboratory instrumentation
- Contribute to meetings to support the implementation of improvements within the laboratory and across the departments on the site
Essential Skills:
- Come from a Chemistry or Brewing & Distilling background - Degree Qualified in these disciplines would be ideal
- Technical and practical understanding of laboratory equipment, procedure and methods
- Analytical method development and validation experience
- Analytical equipment maintenance experience
- Knowledge of brewing and distilling processes
