You develop strategies for your client accounts and new business with the support of other senior strategists and the collaborative team. You develop your industry knowledge and skillsets on-the-job, and share your findings with the strategy team and wider business wherever appropriate.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically
  • Skilled in desk / secondary research
  • Writing the creative brief
  • A passion for brands and developing powerful brand ideas
  • Being a trusted advisor to clients
  • Developing partnerships with ADs on client accounts and live projects to define the overall strategy and individual project strategies to ensure that all strategic objectives and processes are met/adhered to
  • Partnering ADs to ensure that delivery of projects adheres to the overall strategy
  • Working with the client services team to interrogate client briefs and turn them into internal briefs/plans for the relevant teams
  • Supporting client services/production on development of great briefs that lead to effective work
  • Collaboration with different skillsets within the agency to create great work and evaluation and identification of insight
  • Working with ADs to identify new opportunities with existing clients and proposing the work to clients
  • Responsibility for client’s digital strategy and supporting account directors with regular, timely, effective communication with key clients and management of expectations relating to strategy
  • Developing competency in all strategy skillsets and processes, including social, content, etc. and further developing your expert areas
  • Be proactive in communication with senior strategists and the project team on the progress of your accounts/projects
  • Working with the business development teams to interrogate new business briefs and turn them into internal briefs/plans of attack
  • Developing a consistent and strategic approach to pitch presentations
  • Ownership of ‘the story’ in a pitch
  • Developing commercial awareness and communicating commercial aspects of strategy to the client services team and to clients
  • Proactively recommending the skillsets within the agency to take part in strategy definition and delivery
  • Ensure you are working towards personal and business targets
  • Work towards achieving objectives set in 6-monthly reviews
  • Support the delivery of a strong proposition for strategy that both client services and new business can sell to clients
  • Provide agency-wide training in your specialism and/or other aspects of strategy
  • Attend internal and external training/conferences and share key learnings with strategy/wider team
  • Develop new methods for idea generation and share learnings with the team
  • Develop clear and consistent approaches to presentation and pitch writing
  • Support the development of the knowledge base and help to keep it up to date
