A well-established and global Investor Relations, marketing and technology company based in Glasgow are looking for a Content Manager specialising in web content to join their team. They’ve won many awards along the way, but what really matters to them is delivering excellent campaigns, making clients happy and creating a happy and engaged workforce.

This role is ideal for anyone with a background in copywriting or digital marketing, looking to oversee the content strategy of a growing business. You would manage the entire process from ideation to creation, curation and distribution. The content produced would be editorial articles and other digital marketing assets which are optimised for SEO.

The Role:

As Content Manager, you would be reporting to the Product and Strategy Director, with two content writers as direct reports. The role would see you delivering on the content strategy for a high footfall website, as well as managing the content for six-figure campaigns for clients.

You  would take the lead on growth of user engagement, site traffic and signups to the community across various channels and formats. The content produced for the website is highly optimised for SEO, including articles which report on contemporary, topical discussion in the global investor-sphere. The Content Manager is responsible for sourcing new content ideas that resonate with the target audience, as well as directing the content writers on articles produced and helping them manage their priorities.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Outline, develop and execute a complete content marketing strategy which maximises user engagement, conversion on key internal and client project assets and growth of the community through user signups.
  • Oversee the content planning and execution, including research, ideation, copywriting, creating content briefs, proofreading, and editing commissioned copy in line with SEO best practice, compliance guidelines and style guide.
  • Manage the content strategy for other digital channels, including email, social and third-party sites.
  • Navigate the content strategy around delivering client campaigns simultaneously around organic content articles for the website.
  • Set up publishing and merchandising content assets via CMS and other systems.
  • Directly manage two inhouse content writers, providing support and continuously helping them reach their personal development goals
  • Prepare briefs for the content being produced, with detailed project specifications.
  • Maintain and update the content marketing playbook.
  • Oversee and manage the content calendar.
  • Stay on top of analytics and KPI metrics.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years as a content manager or senior role in a content team
  • Experience creating or significantly contributing to a successful content strategy for a high football website.
  • An exceptional writer, with experience creating captivating content for websites, whitepapers, blogs, infographics, reports, e-books and other content marketing assets.
  • A data-centric and analytical approach, capable of making decisions based on Commercially focused and results-driven with a demonstrable data-centric, analytical approach.
  • A strong understanding of SEO and content marketing best practices, techniques for SEO-optimised pages, improved rankings and driving traffic.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining guidelines and governance processes for all facets of content management and content marketing.
  • High-level understanding of content’s role in shaping the user experience.
  • Experience with content strategy for social media channels.
