Job Description

As a DevOps engineer at LeaseLoco you'll be part of the team responsible for ensuring that our product remains the most responsive and powerful in the industry.

Our team is headed up by the former Head of Engineering at FanDuel, one of only a handful of tech Unicorns built in Scotland. You will help deliver solutions that will make our product the best and most innovative in the market, and as the company grows you'll have a great opportunity to develop your career, skills and knowledge.

We currently manage databases with over 500 million prices and need to deliver search results quickly and reliably to our customers. In order for us to do this we need to ensure that we need to ensure that our technology is properly tested and correct, while also maintaining a high velocity delivering features.

There will be a lot of scope and opportunity to work on varied technologies, we want this product to be amazing and won't shy away from using something that could make it great!

What we look for

  • Computer Science (or related) degree (Min 2.1)
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to work together as part of a team.
  • A drive and passion for continuous improvement.
  • To be able to understand and recognise how your contribution helps the product.
  • Being proactive and using intuition to spot, resolve and improve current standings and situations.
  • The ability to work autonomously on your own with work you are proud of.
  • An excitement around consumer tech.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to maintain, manage and optimising our AWS infrastructure to support our product growth.
  • Experience in designing and building infrastructure that will be scalable and fault tolerant.
  • Work closely with the rest of the engineering to support / enable faster development by building out support tooling.
  • Experience of setting up and deploying multiple services safely and building automated build / deploy processes.
  • Experience of maintaining a consumer website in order to maintain uptime.
