Nine Twenty is recruiting a Software Development Team Leader to join the Software Development department at one of the most exciting and fastest growing software companies in the world.

The role requires an experienced Senior Developer who has leadership and mentoring experience – or wants to add these skills into their career.

Role & Responsibility

Working as part of an Agile development team operating within the Scrum framework, you will be involved across the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring that products are delivered to a published roadmap within planned release cycles.

You will contribute towards the defining and developing a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by the Product team whilst providing the Test team with continuous delivery to ensure that their applications achieve their definition of done and can be potential released within their continuous deployment cycle every Sprint.

You will be actively encouraged to push the boundaries of new technology to ensure that the business choose the most appropriate solutions for delivering their software to enable you to progress to meet your own potential.

You will use your experience and knowledge to give more junior members of the development team the support they need to help them to fulfill their personal development goals. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • To lead and manage a team of senior software developers and software developers.
  • Perform appraisals, monitor performance and identify training needs for the team.
  • Implementing new features across the company products using .NET Technologies.
  • Working closely with our Principle Developers to build well architected solutions.
  • Working with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Design Engineers, Development Engineers (Front End), Test Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard.
  • Providing unit tests to support and validate for any development work undertaken.
  • Contributing to the Development Team’s working practices and technology decisions.
  • Mentoring and coaching other members of your team to help grow their skillsets.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of developing rich web applications using .NET Technologies, C# and JavaScript.
  • Expert-level C#, including experience with the latest .NET Framework.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline; or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • A proven ability to deliver technical features within an enterprise application.
  • Knowledge of key architecture patterns and design patterns.
  • Experience using Source Control, preferably Git.
  • Experience of working in an Agile development team.
  • An understanding of build processes, continuous integration and delivery.
  • Experience in writing unit tests.
