Nine Twenty Technology are on the lookout for a Data Centre Manager to join their client, a leading organisation who deliver fantastic Digital products to it's customers, on a FTC basis in the heart of Glasgow. This role involves the management of primary and secondary data centre sites.
Responsibilities:
- Driving, developing and handling the Data Centre strategy
- Maintain relationships across technical and project teams
- Work closely with other technology and business service teams
- Own and develop the Data Centre Practice
- Contribute to defining and delivering standards and targets
- Act as subject matter expert for the company
Details: FTC 18 months
Salary: £44,000-£50,000
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Experience in a Data Centre Management role within an Enterprise scale environment
- Proven experience in successfully managing small teams (c. 3-5) in a technical environment
- Relevant Data Centre industry qualification
- Experience of operating Data Centres on a day to day basis
- Previous exposure to implementing and configuring Data Centre monitoring solutions
Desirable:
- CDCDP; CDCMP; DCSO; DCSD or equivalent
- PRINCE 2 Foundation
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Project
- ITIL Foundation
- Awareness of developments in IT infrastructure
