Nine Twenty Technology are on the lookout for a Data Centre Manager to join their client, a leading organisation who deliver fantastic Digital products to it's customers. This role involves the management of primary and secondary data centre sites. Based in the heart of Glasgow, the guideline salary for this position is up to £51,000.
Responsibilities:
- Driving, developing and handling the Data Centre strategy
- Maintain relationships across technical and project teams
- Work closely with other technology and business service teams
- Own and develop the Data Centre Practice
- Contribute to defining and delivering standards and targets
- Act as subject matter expert for the company
Details: FTC 18 months
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Experience in a Data Centre Management role within an Enterprise scale environment
- Proven experience in successfully managing small teams (c. 3-5) in a technical environment
- Relevant Data Centre industry qualification
- Experience of operating Data Centres on a day to day basis
- Previous exposure to implementing and configuring Data Centre monitoring solutions
Desirable:
- CDCDP; CDCMP; DCSO; DCSD or equivalent
- PRINCE 2 Foundation
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Project
- ITIL Foundation
- Awareness of developments in IT infrastructure
