C#/SQL Contract Developer – Glasgow, West End – Remote work available

Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be recruiting a Contract C#/SQL Developer for their technology client based in Glasgow.
Our client cares about the environment and is at the forefront of cutting-edge technology for the green building sector.
You will be employed for an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility for extension.
You will be responsible for the enhancing the performance between our application and database service.
You must have experience of rewriting multi-stage queries as single stage queries, de-normalising the data etc. Additionally, an ability to further in-memory caching to improve successive queries for similar entities would be desirable.
Technical skills and experience required:
- C#
- PostgreSQL OR SQL
- Npgsql
- Use of de-normalisation and indexing for performance improvement
- Familiarity with PerfView and profiling for performance
- Familiarity with Azure App Service and PostgreSQL hosting
- Previous experience maintaining consistency in concurrently modified data structures
