Nine Twenty are working with our long standing, prestigious Scottish Manufacturing client who are looking for an Continuous Improvement/Lean Engineer who can bring a passion for Continuous Improvement playing a key role within the Operations team, you will work on Continuous Improvement & development of current products & processes and will meet the companies strategic targets & objectives.
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you will assist in providing technical expertise to support environmental, sustainability and innovative requirements. You will find ways to reduce waste and improve performance - you will study product requirements & use engineering & technical methods to design manufacturing and information systems.
You will deliver projects to improve production and drive down costs, whilst using your technical knowledge to support various areas within the manufacturing process. You will be part of the strategic plan and deliver product development goals, whilst analysing product development data to design selection criteria. You will approve initial designs and recommend modifications whilst providing technical direction for research & development programmes.
Skills required:
- You will be degree qualified or similar or have equal industry experience in an engineering or similar discipline
- You will have previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- You will have good knowledge in using LEAN techniques such as 5S/Kaizen/Ishikawa
- Strong analytical & design skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem solving skills
