Nine Twenty's client is a family run company supplying small, independent operators through to large multi-national organisations with high-quality paper based packaging.

An opportunity has arisen for within the quality department to ensure the effective creation, implementation and maintenance of risk assessments, training programmes and associated documentation and participation in internal audits, completion of reports and follow up of action plans.  This is a hands-on role with at least 50% of time being actively spent in the factory and warehouse areas.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review risk assessments to published timescales

  • Completion of internal audits, both process and hygiene, to published timescales

  • Development and implementation of H&S training programme

  • Development and implementation of machine and process training programmes

  • Creation and update of supporting documents such as Work Instructions, training materials and assessment criteria

  • Review existing work instructions to published timescales

  • Full ownership of creation and training of new work instructions in response to customer complaints, production performance issues and safety concerns.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in training needs analysis

  • Assist in NCR process as required

  • Ensure that the highest health and safety standards are adhered to whilst performing duties

Essential Skills & Experience

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely

  • Internal auditor experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment

  • A self starter who can use their own initiative

  • Must be able to see tasks through to completion

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide of personalities

  • Good English written and verbal communication skills

  • Observant with a keen eye for detail

  • I.T. literate and proficient with Email, Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Demonstrates a logical, methodical approach to work

  • Possess the ability to assess the risks associated with tasks and equipment and can work in a safe manner
