A rare and exciting CG Artist role is now available at a fast-paced studio originating from Scotland that is punching above its weight and working with some big-name household brands. They specialise in visualisation within the product, property and automotive spheres. Using CGI, animation, film and digital content, they support clients with the design, development and the launch of their products. Clients are diverse and operate within luxury markets, including leading automotive and property developers.

As a CG Artist, you would join the team to support with the 3D Digital artwork used to depict the clients products. If you’re someone who has proficiency in 3D Studio Max, Corona, Adobe Photoshop or similar 3D Digital artwork tools, and are looking to work with diverse businesses and clients, this could be the perfect role for you!

Please note, this role can be fully remote with occasional funded travel to Scotland. Every artist's set up will be taken into consideration.

 

About the Role:

You will be working with clients to produce high quality digital 3D artwork for their product, buildings or vehicles. Previous experience creating photo realistic 3D imagery for clients within these industries is essential, as well as a working knowledge of a variety of 3D digital artwork applications. Currently, the organisation primarily uses 3DS Max and Corona Render, however experience with similar applications would be great as they're currently expanding their skillset.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry-leading team and work with a variety of interesting clients and projects. You would be joining a team of enthusiastic and passionate artists who love telling stories through the power of imagery.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting in the development of 3D digital artwork used in proposals for products, buildings and vehicles.
  • Rendering visuals and animation from concept art to full digital artwork presentation.
  • Contribute to consistent documentation of illustration standards, including working methods, animation libraries and archiving the final digital images.
  • Support the team and take responsibility for the presentation of 3D digital artwork throughout the majority of the clients project.

Requirements:

  • Good portfolio of artwork from previous projects.
  • Solid commercial experience, circa 2+ years plus but flexible depending on quality of work.
  • An advanced proficiency in 3DS Max, Corona, Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Experience with Blender, Houdini or Cinema 4D would be great as they aim to get more skillsets into the business.
  • Demonstrable dimensional and spatial understanding of buildings including shadow and light. Additionally, an understanding of scale and compositional techniques within the virtual environment.
  • Experience using atmosphere and emotion to tell a story through imagery.
  • A working knowledge of digital artwork production processes.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Strong Communication skills.

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Autocad
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine
