Our client has a new and exciting role for a Business Development Manager. You will be working for an award winning, fast paced growing brand with international presence.

In this role you will be developing new relationships, managing supplier relationships, devising and implementing product plans, review pricing and ongoing range management. We are looking for someone who is a strong self-starter and has a strong background within retail sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales assisting in delivering revenue growth and driving the retail business 
  • Identifying opportunities building the retail division of the business including both national and international focusing on airport retail and similar opportunities
  • Maintaining and growing existing relationships, acquiring new relationships, taking ownership with retail partners to drive the overall revenue growth and deliver the strategy
  • Providing a quality service to retail partners, continually building and growing relationships
  • Manging retail clients within the business, managing expectations, dealing with a number of different internal stakeholders
  • Working with Head of Retail Sales, CEO and senior management team to deliver the target growth, controlling costs and demonstrating an understanding the cost of winning new business
  • Understanding different pricing models within the retail market including the European retail landscape and airside retail
  • Execution of the complete sales cycle, co-ordinating retail sales activities, negotiation and closing sales

Essential attributes:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Previous track record of driving sales results within an international retail environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong awareness and excellent understanding of product merchandising, planning and analysis
  • Ability to deliver and convert the retail sales strategy into profitable sales
  • Ability to build on existing contacts and to introduce new contacts to the business
  • Excellent knowledge of worldwide retail landscape including US, EU and Far East. 
  • Understanding of airside retail advantageous
  • Excellent planning, organisation, communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent business acumen demonstrating the ability to multi-task, managing business needs and priorities and deadlines
  • Willingness to travel (National and International)
