Applicants must have a strong grasp of computer science concepts as well as a willingness to learn and try new things.

Required Expertise and Skills

You have to be an enthusiastic developer who displays a strong sense of ownership and pride in your work.

You must be comfortable discussing your ideas to both technical peers and non-technical users. 

If you have experience gained from working in a software house or technology business, you would be a more natural fit to this organization.

  • Object-Oriented principals and knowledge of common design patterns such as MVC.

  • MySQL development, configuration and optimisation.

  • Knowledge of front-end and back-end best practices.

  • Experience of Unix / Linux.

  • Object oriented design experience.

  • Understanding with one or more scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Ruby, Perl, Python).

  • Familiarity with one or more compiled languages (e.g., C# / C++, Java)

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.

  • Web Development experience, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax etc.

  • Experience with source control, e.g. SVN/GIT.
