Nine Twenty have another exciting opportunity with one of our clients based in Glasgow. This is a permanent role for an Assistant Office Manager to join their established team.

Successful candidates will make a quick impact in providing general office support (to our Glasgow office) along with top-class customer service to our education, healthcare and distribution customers. 

You will be responsible for handling inbound customer queries (emails and phone calls), customer order processing, supplier purchasing and logistics.   The role also entails general administration and supporting the directors, therefore the ability to work flexibly is crucial.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a growing SME – they will be able to hit the ground running and be a proven “all-rounder”.  This means experience with handling confidential financial information, an excellent manner with customers/colleagues, highly organised and energetic.  

Two subjects in particular are at the heart of the role - people and systems - therefore a natural people person with top communication skills and a highly proficient IT user will be ideal.  You will be committed to working full time and growing your career with our expanding business.

Responsibilities

This role will work alongside our current office team to accommodate our growing business:

  • Answering main company phone line, in/out mail and managing “info@” email inbox
  • Sales and Purchase orders and invoicing 
  • Liaising with logistics team in order to ensure that deliveries are made
  • Finances - daily banking, invoice factoring, credit control, staff expenses
  • Provide general administrative support

The Ideal Candidate;

  • Energetic, full of initiative, confident, reliable and comfortable multi-tasking and problem solving
  • Strong verbal, written and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT systems skills (Sage 50 and Microsoft Office experience is ideal or a fast learner)
  • Highly-capable in dealing with numbers, finances and spreadsheets (Excel)
  • Experienced in general office administration within high-growth SME
  • Experience in freight and logistics operations is preferable  

What we offer you;

  • £22,000 - £25,000 FTE depending on experience
  • Up to 10% of salary in profit share scheme
  • 28 days - incl English bank holidays.  Time served holiday increases
  • Working hours 9am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week).
