Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be working with their client in Bathgate in the recruitment of a Software Specialist/ Developer.
The Application Support team provides support across all UK sites and investigates problems with software applications, diagnose root causes, and work on finding permanent solutions and fixing them.
Software Specialist/ Developer Key Responsibilities
- Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system
- Ensure the continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services
- Maintain production environments relating to online services. This will include development, stage and production systems.
- Provide capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated system(s) Identifying trends or problems (as defined under ITIL).
- Ensure that applications are maintained in a manner that supports delivery of services to multiple platforms, resilience, and performance.
Personal Skills and Key Competencies:
Technical (Essential)
- 2+ years with C# & .NET Framework (3.5 and above);
- Strong understanding of Object Orientated Programming (OOP) and sound principles;
- Experience of ASP.NET, MVC, WebForms, SOAP based web services and RESTful Web APIs;
- Good SQL Server skills with knowledge of SQL and T-SQL;
- Web development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and experience of the frameworks JQuery and Bootstrap
