A new Accounts Assistant role has arisen with Europe’s leading supplier of fitness equipment, within their UK division. The business is the leader in its market in the UK, and Europe and continues to grow both online and offline. This is a great opportunity to work in a role that offers you a high level of autonomy with plenty of support.

 

The Role:

This is a key role within the business's Finance team to support both retail stores and the eCommerce team with sales transactions.  The Sales ledger/Credit Controller will be comfortable in a volume transaction environment and will have a good working understanding of integrated ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide personable and good quality guidance and advice to internal customers, supporting questions and resolving queries.
  • Processing sales receipts, banking transactions and reconciliation.
  • Managing credit notes and the customer refund process.
  • Credit control and debt management of the commercial and trade customer ledger.
  • Customer and store account reconciliation for retail customers.
  • Conducting ID, security checks and credit worthiness assessments for new customers.
  • Investigating and reporting discrepancies, mistakes, or potential fraud to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the management of the annual stock take activity.
  • Complying with relevant financial laws and regulations.

Who you will work with:

  • Responding directly to Customers and working with Banking/Finance partners. Collaborating with Retail, Customer Care, Sales and Warehousing to speedily and proactively resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the areas of sales ledger and credit control reporting.
  • Experience in eCommerce trading is preferable.
  • Working knowledge of IRIS exchequer or Sage accounting systems would be advantageous.
  • Excellent excel and computer skills.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and regularly meet strict deadlines.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a small team to provide help, support and holiday cover.
