Nine Twenty Technology are currently recruiting for a Front End Developer for our market leading software client.

This is an exciting opportunity to start on a career path with a very innovative, creative and current Software business based in Glasgow. Ideal if you are feeling bored or restricted in your current role and want to really excel in a very cool company.

This role will lead front end development and involve utilising PHP as well as being able to write quality custom JavaScript scripts.  

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Able to write custom JavaScript scripts using jQuery and other libraries
  • Familiar with AJAX to retrieve data formatted in JSON or XML and visualise it using Google Charts API
  • Working with PHP to implement front-end designs that are functional and most importantly meet our clients' needs
  • Working with back end develop to deliver new and/or enhanced features into our front-end
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Design skills – design web pages that organise numbers and charts in an informative way
  • HTML and CSS – to implement your own and others designs
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Creative, innovative and a passionate learner
  • Eager to work with a dynamic team in addition to the ability to work independently

 

The ideal candidate will need the following essential experience:

  • Good working knowledge of JavaScript (and understanding of ReactJs would be very beneficial)
  • Strong UX awareness
  • Strong understanding of PHP object oriented programming and MVC concepts.
  • Experience working with PHP frameworks such as Code Igniter would be useful
  • Demonstrate previous experience working as a web developer in a fast paced organisation, creating interactive web sites that focus on user experience first
  • Understanding modern front end design, related technologies and user experience concepts
