Nine Twenty Technology are working with our IT client to recruit a role to be based initially at their Livingston office but with every likelihood it will move to the Glasgow area in the future.
We require an engineer with strong support and product development of CA Spectrum within a busy environment.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Support of both the live and test CA Spectrum application
- Support CA Spectrum application issues identified by the client's Network Support team,
- Provide support to the Network Support team for the creation of CA Spectrum user accounts and assigning user permissions.
- Manage CA Spectrum configuration to maintain resilience, including an Active- Active One-Click configuration and Active – Passive Spectroserver.
- Carry out application upgrades or patches released by CA. To facilitate this the following will be performed (subject to change control):
- Test new software in a LAB environment for 4 – 6 weeks.
- Carry out rollback, resilience and failover testing.
- Deploy in to the Pre-Production environment.
- Deploy in to Production (Secondary nodes then Primary to maintain service)
- Manage nightly backups of the CA Spectrum Application databases. The software is also supported for resilience with replication to the secondary instances.
- Excellent documentation skills to ensure current environment is documented and available within centralised knowledge base
- Ability to train and upskill other NOC engineers in CA Spectrum
