Nine Twenty Technology are currently recruiting for our leading Technology Solution Provider client who provide tailored solutions to meet business requirements.

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer who is CCNP qualified.

Candidates who have UCS or HP Blade are highly desirable for this role. 

The Engineer will be accountable for the following:

  • Active participant in the customer support centre, handling phone and email queues to assist customers with technical issues on the product, inclusive of ability to troubleshoot, duplicate and create workaround to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and success
  • Document and report on the status of major issues, tech centre operational status, etc
  • Manage the RMA processes ensuring equipment is being delivered to the customer 
  • Work collaboratively with the overall Support Organisation in driving Support team process improvements and initiatives.
  • Ability to manage hot customer escalations and drive issues to completion while keeping all involved parties in the loop. Ability to work with other organizations such as QA and Sustaining to convey customer concerns and requirements to be a champion for the customer in providing a timely problem resolution
  • Working with the Support team, deliver the Middle East business hours support needs for countries which have regular working days over our weekend
  • Work with the 24*7 on-call support engineers in assisting in 24hr escalation coverage during EMEA regular business hour overlap with U.S. night time
  • Liaise with the EMEA SE teams as needed on answering their technical questions and issues, assisting in customer evals and demo’s occurring in the EMEA office

Experience required

  • You must be CCNP qualified or actively working towards CCNP accreditation
  • Candidate should be familiar with managing project deployments and working with systems teams to understand the requirements
  • Candidate should be familiar with Cisco LAN switches, routers and PIX/ASA/Juniper firewalls hardware and be able to do RIP/EIGRP/OSPF/BGP routing protocols setup and route redistribution, configure IPSec VPN-s
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate their abilities to solve network-related issues with RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and LAN connectivity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years technical experience in Network Support or QA environments
  • BS in Computer Science preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 Years of Technical Services experience in the networking space. Strong operating and troubleshooting knowledge across both L2 and L3 technologies such as: Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSPF, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), Multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM), Switching technologies (VLAN/Trunking), Stacking, QoS, Spanning Tree (STP,RSTP) and Test Equipment such as Spirent and IXIA. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
  • Must have good project management, problem resolution and analytical skills
  • Must have a very strong customer focus
  • Must have a working understanding of IP networking including network setup, configuration, trouble shooting and debugging
