Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to assist in the recruitment of a Ruby Developer on behalf of our Glasgow based Client.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in some exciting and high-profile projects. The business have built a team of talented developers who are passionate about technology and love what they do. They are looking for developers who are excited by the prospect of coming in every day to work within a team of people they like and respect, to work on challenging problems and learn from each other.

About You

The Ideal Candidate will have the following experience:

  • Ruby
  • Exposure to Rails
  • HTML / CSS & some JavaScript
  • TDD / BDD experience
  • Comfortable at the *nix command line (Linux, OSX, AIX, Solaris etc.)

Additional experience of the following is highly desirable:

  • Cucumber / Rspec.
  • Solid Rails 3 and / or 4 experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience working with cloud services including AWS.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise IT environment, including multiple technologies and legacy code bases.
  • SysAdmin / Deployment experience (Capistrano, Rake etc.).
  • MySQL or other database experience.
  • JQuery / CoffeeScript / Jasmine.
  • Backbone, Ember or other MVC JavaScript framework.
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban or XP)
  • Experience with technical practices such as pair programming, collective code ownership and continuous integration.
  • Scaling experience.
  • Experience working within a tech start up or a technical role within a corporate environment.

For the right person there's a salary of up to £45,000 plus additional benefits, including:
