9-20 have a long-standing relationship with a leading niche provider of intellectual property (‘IP’) consultancy services. This business has ambitious growth plans, with offices in the UK and the US and are now keen to add to their Glasgow operation with the appointment of experienced Analyst to join their Corporate Recovery team. 

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to fast track their career within a firm operating successfully in a growing space.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordination and running of IP asset sales and marketing exercises

  • Managing intellectual property (“IP”) asset valuation assignments (supported by the Valuation Team

  • Manage client assignments/project

  • Advising/liaising with and updating corporate recovery clients on the progress of ongoing engagements

  • Liaising with insolvent companies’ management teams and third parties to gather information

  • Analysing IP assets, and the business context to the assets, in companies across a range of sectors

  • Creating sales and valuation documentation (supported by our internal valuation team)

  • Supervising junior team members’ work

  • Holding discussions with IP asset buyers and answering IP asset due diligence enquiries

  • Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives.

    About You

    The successful candidate will likely have the following experience / skills:

  • Be highly professional in all corporate communications.

  • Have relevant business experience and good commercial awareness.

  • Have strong analytical skills.

  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Have or feel comfortable developing negotiation skills.

  • Have experience in managing individuals, processes or projects.

  • Be capable of interpreting financial information as part of the overall analysis.

  • Be a results-oriented individual who wants to make a difference, takes initiative, and has a sense of urgency.

  • Have a can-do attitude and take pride in their work.

  • Degree level ideally BSc. or B.A ideally within a technical / science field or Accountancy, Financial Services or Law and any exposure or specialisation within Corporate Insolvency / IP would be advantageous.
