The Role

The business are currently looking to appoint several Java/J2EE Software Developer's to take a lead role in application specification, design, and implementation, the successful applicant will be working in a fast paced and professional environment, where they will be given full responsibility for the delivery of assigned projects.

The team are tasked with rapid involvement into new technologies and delivering high quality solutions.

Skills / Experience Required

Strong technical knowledge in several of the following:

  • Java/J2EE web applications, Spring, UML, JUnit, Apache Ant, SQL and JDBC, HTML, XSLT, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience of one or more of the following relational database technologies: Oracle, MySQL, PostgresSQL, SQL Server.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: JBoss, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere or WebLogic.
  • Significant development experience, with exposure to the full software lifecycle.
  • Experience of both Windows and UNIX (especially RHEL Linux) environments.
  • The ability to take initiative and work autonomously while at the same time contributing to team objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
